I'm at Mammoth Mountain!!!
Hey guys and girls,
Just arrived in Mammoth a couple of hours ago. This place is beautiful. It snowed a little but has stopped now. Can’t wait to see this place during the day. It’s currently minus 6°C. I thought it would be a lot worse. It just feels like a really cold day at Buller. It’s still bloody cold though.
Tonight I’m staying in an apartment with 5 other guys, but tomorrow I should be moving in with the other boys from Vegas; Tim, Jim and Cam.
Right now we are stealing internet from someone so I hope we’ll be able to steal some at the other place as well. It’s bloody fast too!
The trip here wasn’t too bad…..watched a few movies and listened to my iPod most the way. Couldn’t sleep though, I don’t know why I just can’t sleep on transport. It sucks!
Tomorrow we have to have orientation for work and stuff. I’ll probably go shopping all day and buy some gear that I need. I need some boots, bindings and goggles. I still need to buy a camera but I’m not sure if there’s a place here. I’ll have to do a bit of exploring and see……..apparently it’s reasonably cheap here. Compared to home, it’s very cheap.
Anyway I hear things are pretty crazy in Sydney at the moment with all the riots and stuff. We actually saw a report of it on CNBC news (I think it was CNBC anyway). Crazy stuff! It’s like right near where the Sydney boys and staying too…..
Can’t wait to show you guys some photos of the village near. It’s soo awesome!
Last night was a mega night. There were heaps of people that came up and we have a massive drinking session in the courtyard outside the pub at the hotel we were staying in LA. Got blind!! We then ate more take away food, but I can’t remember anything so it doesn’t matter. :-)
