Hello from wireless Internet cafe
As you’ve probably realized I found a place to email. It’s a wireless internet café about 5 minutes down the road. It would have been good to have internet in our room but this is pretty damn good! All we have to do is bring our laptops here and connect. It's free as long as you buy something. So I think we'll be drinking a lot of coffee.
Still haven’t got a camera. Was hoping to go to Bishop today, which is about 40 minutes away but there was only one bus there at 8am and one back at 4pm. We will probably go next Friday or Saturday. Tim, a mate of mine who I live with, and I both have the same days off so we’ll probably go down there together.
It’ll probably be a big one tonight. Saturday night! Gotta get up at 6.30am for work tomorrow but apparently they don’t really care if you rock up with a hangover, they just care if you rock up! I don’t have much of a problem getting up with a hangover usually.
The coldness and altitude really helps with a hangover too. Really wakes you up!!!
Mum and Dad and whoever went, how was Stef’s Christmas party?
Out of control I bet!
Would’ve been a lot of fun……….
We had pizza for dinner last night. I can’t believe the size of pizzas over here. XL pizzas are 16 inches wide!!! We only went for larges.
We have so much food to choose from in the village. There are heaps of restaurants, there’s KFC, McDonalds, Starbucks for coffee, this internet café I’m in at the moment for coffee, half a dozen pizza places.
At the moment I’m drinking a Trail Mix Mocha. Unreal!!
It has almond, hazelnut, macadamia nuts, cream. It’s beautiful.
Went for a board yesterday in the afternoon at Mammoth. WOW! It was unbelievable! The runs are so big and wide and ultra long. By the end of a run, my leg muscles were burning. We also spent a bit of time in the park. The kickers they have are massive!! And there are a heap of rails too. I took it easy a bit. Didn't want to do anything stupid and regret it later. I did hit a few of the smaller kickers though. The are really well designed and easy to land due to that. Not like Buller, these jumps have been professionally designed and are awesome! Can't wait to get used to my new binding and boots and hit some big arse kickers!!
There are soo many good riders here too, so it's great for learning new things and improving. My housemates are also really good so I enjoy going out with them.
Allright better go and do some washing soon. Haven’t done any yet! So I have a big bag.
Speak real soon.
Paul.
