Hollywood and Disneyland

Hi,

The last couple of days we have spent in the Los Angeles area. We are staying in Hollywood. Jesse and his mates have been haging out with us and taking us out which has been great they are all really nice!
On Wednesday night we got really drunk and went out to dinner at this really nice Asian restuarant. There was so much food, I ordered two bowls of rice and couldn't finish them.
Yesterday we went to Disneyland!!!! Wow, that place is amazing, it's a lot different to how I remembered it. It's so so big and the rides and extremely fun. We got there around 12pm and left at 12am. It was a huge day! After we were down with the attractions and rides and stuff, we caught the monorail to Downtown Disney and ate at this awesome place called "The Rainforest Cafe". It was like a rainforest inside and the food was delicious!
Today we were goig to go to Universal Studios but I think we'll just stay in Hollywood and see the sights around here.....we are thinking of extending our stay an extra night because we have so much to see.

Yesterday we went to downtown San Diego. The Gaslamp Quarter is really nice. And we ate at Hooters. Shayna and Sam were very nice! Hahaha. God it was great!!!!! :-)

San Diego

Hi guys,

Today is our second real day in San Diego. This place is fantastic. We are literally staying on the beach. It’s called “The Banana Bungalow”. It’s so much fun, yesterday we sat out on the deck and drank all day. Later we played beer pong, which is a great drinking game. I’ll have to introduce it to everyone back home. When we got here we were a bit skeptical because me and Jimmy are staying in a room with about 10 other ppl but the ppl here are really nice. There are ppl from Scotland, England, Australia….all over the place. Today we are going for a bike ride down the beach. We are staying in Pacific Beach but we might check out Mission beach and maybe La Jolla.
Sorry I haven’t been writing much lately, I’m having way too much fun!!!!!!

Today we shot guns. It was crazy, the biggest rush ever!

It was kind of scary, we just walked in and gave them ID and they gave us a gun. It was soo soo loud, AMAZING!

Grand Canyon

A few days ago we went to the grand canyon. It was amazing! The drive was really long from Vegas and the North Rim was closed so we had to go down a dirt road to get there. We drove for 12 hours, we left at 10am and got home just past 10pm.It was awesome fun though. Well well worth it!!!!!!

First night in Vegas

Wow, this place is so much fun!
Last night we started by playing drinking games in our apartment. The otehrs were getting ready so there was only three of us. 8's is a bad game to play when there is only three people, trust me! I ended up having to skull a few beers. After the others came over we decided to head out. We were all pretty blind at this stage. The night was a bit of a blur, everyone was telling me stuff that happened and I was like "oh yeah I remember that". Hahahaha.
Anyway we went out to some place called "mist" at Treasure Island. It was pretty cool. We left that place and went wandering down the streets. I drove some dude's little cleaning buggy: you know those ones you see on the side of the road. He wasn't happy I don't think. I can't really remember where else we went. I played pokies for a bit....I didn't win. Somehow I lost the others so i went and got Maccas and then I found them and they were eating Maccas so I ate again. We came back to the hotel. We decided we wanted to go swimming but they locked the door to the spa. Bastards!!! It was about 3am I think, lol. Then we wanted to see this erotic show that they have here in the casino but there was no one at all around, we snuck in and sat in there for about 5 mins and left. Hahahaha. And then I think we just went and passed out in the room after that.
We are staying at the Riviera by the way. It's okay, nothing special. It is a bit away from the main part of the strip but it is on the strip which is good.
I must apologize for the drunken phone call last night Aims. I'm sorry. I have no idea why I called you. Email me and let me know what I had to say. It should be funny! Hahaha.
Today we went to the factory outlets. I could've spent every penny I have. Luckily I didn't. I did buy a nice shirt, a couple of tees and a pair of diesel shoes. Everything was so cheap, you couldn't afford not to buy something.
Tonight we are meeting up with Vinnie, a guy from Mammoth. It should be good fun! And tomorrow everyone's favourite Pom is coming up. We can't wait for Jack to get here.........things will definately get well messy! Aight.

VEGAS PICS:

Driving to Vegas

Right now I’m using jimmy’s computer burning some CD’s for the trip to Las Vegas. We are trying to get out of LA which will be quite hard seen as the place is so damn big. It’s unbelievable!!!! Tim’s driving with Gemma (Tim’s girlfriend), James and Alex also in the car. We just ate In ‘n’ Out. It has to be the best take away joint ever!!!! Animal style baby!!!!! Yeah!!!!
Yesterday we spent the day down at Santa Monica beach. It was pretty nice but kind of a bit tacky by down the beach. The 3rd avenue promenade was really nice though. Lots of great shopping……I could of bought so much stuff but I just bought a pair of Brasil Havianas and something for Tanya which is really cool. ;-)
Allright I think we are lost and about to go through the ghetto which is really scary. Eek!

Last day in Mammoth

Hi again,

Today was my last day in Mammoth. We left around 11.30am and are now in LA staying at the good ol’ Hacienda.
Last night we had a little party at our house: a little farewell. It was really fun! We went through a lot of beer!! It was a fun night and let’s just keep it at that. I’ll tell you all more when I see you, lol.
It was hard to get up this morning but I packed earlier the day before so all I had to do was have a shower and go.
A couple of Jesse’s mates, Nick and Art, came down just to pick us up from Mammoth and drive us to LA which was really nice!
They took us down Sunset Boulevard through Beverly Hills and Hollywood. It was awesome!!! We even went past UCLA which looked massive!!!!
Bel Air was amazing too....so many nice house, it was ridiculous!!!
We are now sitting in out room watching the end of the boxing. Mayweather just beat Zab Judah. It was a great match.
Anyway tomorrow we might go and have lunch in Hollywood or somewhere around there. And then on Monday we are off to VEGAS!!!!!!!

Leaving Tomorrow

Hi guys,

Today is Friday and I’m extremely excited but kind of a bit sad. We are leaving tomorrow and we are going to ride at June Mountain for the last time. Last week I thought we were going to ride Mammoth today but I’m glad we are riding June because last week at Mammoth was so good. It’ll be good to leave on that high. Hopefully today will be just as good!
Anyway yesterday was my last day of work and it was a great day. I had a lot of fun. I was really excited all day and Shane let me go an hour early because the annual dummy race was on at 4pm. So I met up with the others and had a few drinks in the bar and then watched the dummy race. It was really fun to watch. Each department made their own dummy and raced it down a big hill with a jump at the end. Ski Patrol won: there’s was awesome!! It had rockets and everything.

Hole In The Wall Mark II

Hi everyone,

Today we rode Mammoth and because there weren’t any parks built due to the extreme amount of snow we have had lately we decided to go backcountry riding again. Seriously there is so much snow, it’s ridulicous! For example, one of the chairlifts wasn’t open today because it couldn’t run: some of the chairs were half way under the snow!!!! Crazy stuff. And it’s meant to be Spring, lol. It is really unusual. They are getting very very close to breaking the record for snowfall which was almost broken last year. I don’t know exactly how far off they are but there is still a while to go in the season and they are expecting more snow this week! When is it going to stop??? Hahaha……I thought I’d never say this but really there is too much snow. Earlier in the week, June only had two lifts running because of the amount of snow. It was too dangerous. It was good because we got to go home early two days. J
Sadly, at Mammoth yesterday 3 ski patrollers died. They fell into a 20 foot hole and got oxygen deprivation because it was filled with carbon dioxide or something (Mammoth is an active volcano for those of you that didn’t know). It is all over the news. Tragic! There was a bit of a somber mood on the mountain today.

Anyway, we had a really good day of riding. We did have to do a bit of hiking and walking but it was well worth it! We even started an avalanche in the hole. It was unreal! I’ve never seen anything like it. It was kind of scary.

Okay I better go to bed. We are going to June to ride tomorrow which should be a lot of fun. I only have 5 days of work left!!!! My last day is this Thursday and then we leave here on Saturday.

Oh yeah, about a week and a half ago we had a work party. I got really drunk and ended up singing 3 songs in karaoke. One was “Yesterday” with Alex, one was “Bohemian Rhapsody” with about 5 other people and the other one I can’t remember but it was with Nick B. Apparently I was horrible but I think everyone was a bit jealous. Crazy night!!!! Hahaha

Gaper Day

Gaper Day

What a day! The last day in March will now be known as “Gaper Day”.
James, Tim, Alex and I all decided to go skiing at June. And we didn’t want to just go skiing, we wanted to look the part. So we went to the op shop and bought some terrific outfits. I think we looked great!!
The actual skiing was really hard to start off with. I haven’t skied for around ten years so it was kinda hard to get used to having skis and poles. But we all picked it up really really well by the end of the day. We conquered a black diamond run on skis, hahahahaha.
The ski boots were so uncomfortable, I don’t know how skiers put up with them every day. We all had sore feet by the end of the day and they are really hard to walk in.
We also went through “Mambo” which was pretty funny. We went off jumps, which was really scary.
We did get a lot of great video footage for the video that Tim is making. Hopefully that’ll turn out really well. He has been filming the whole trip.
